Guide Wave Radar level meter transmits microwave pulse with very low energy. The pulse travels along the measuring rod (cable) at the speed of light. When it encounters the surface of the measured medium, part of its energy is reflected back and received by the measuring module. The time interval between transmitting pulse and receiving pulse is directly proportional to the distance from the antenna to the measured medium surface. Thus, the distance between the antenna and the measured medium surface can be calculated
