Registered Product Information

Manufacturer: Softing AG
Product Name: FF HSE/H1 Linking Device and Modbus TCP/H1 Gateway FG-110 FF
Product Description: H1/HSE Linking Device
Profile: FOUNDATION H1/HSE Linking Device
More Information:   Support of 4 FF H1 Segments Softing’s FG-110 FF connects up-to four H1 segments providing connection to as many as 64 field devices. An external 24 V dc power conditioner must be present to supply the required power to the devices on the segments.   FF Configuration Tool Windows-based configuration software package for FF enabling field device linking and configuration is included. Communication and Gateway DTM The included FF HSE Communication Device Type Manager (DTM) and HSE/H1 Gateway DTM allow access to FF H1 networks via any Field Device Tool (FDT). This provides a flexible and mobile solution for easy parameterization and diagnostics of all connected field devices. Integrated Web-Server The integrated web-server offers web pages used to configure the Modbus register mapping. Any PC with a standard web browser and an Ethernet connection can be used as the interface to accomplish this task. In addition, using the web-interface a user is able to easily create customized monitoring pages and group process values. The user can access the web-server over a dedicated network or an Intranet. Username and Password security is provided to prevent unauthorized access to the data.   Modbus Interface   Host systems can utilize the Modbus protocol to communicate with the FG-110 FF. Standard Modbus host systems are able to read process value, status, or other function block parameter. The actual mapping of each process value is achieved by assigning the TAG or Status of each process value (or function block output) to a register number using the Web-based interface. Register assignments are freely configurable, allowing the FG-110 FF registers to match the requirements of a wide range of Modbus host applications. The serial Modbus interface supports data rates from 9600 bps to 115200 bps. Modbus/TCP (as well as HSE) is available on the Ethernet interface.   Preassembled Fieldbus Interface Module FIM-110 FF The FIM-110 FF contains the Softing gateway and Linking Device FG-110 FF, but also includes additional components required for an interface module like power conditioners or an RS232/RS485 interface converter for Modbus communication, all within one housing The FIM-110 FF facilitates the integration of FOUNDATION fieldbus (FF) into legacy plants and Modbus control systems-

Device Support File Usage

FieldComm Group (FCG) makes available to its members and to the public certain device driver (DD) files, in various forms, that have passed certain tests conducted by or through FCG. The DD files are, or are created from, submissions to FCG by FCG members and are provided by FCG AS IS. FCG disclaims all liability for the accuracy, suitability or use of the DD files. Each member creating DD files has its own policies regarding supporting use of those files, and may, for instance support use of DD object code files, but not DeviceInfo or other files. While FCG is under no obligation to provide support for use of any DD files, FCG welcomes all inquiries on the subject and will often be able to assist.
